Alternative options

Under ground

A good way to solve there problems with vibrations would be building a station under ground where there is not a ton of movement so that the station will not be affected by vibratons.

LIGO have recently been bulding a station under ground n an old mine. This wll really help them find there gravity waves beause there will not be a ton of vibrations. The problem with this is the cost of the station and how hardit is to build the station

Space

Another option for LIGO would be having a satellite in space where nothing would disturb the station. It would also be easier for LIGO to collect data because they would not have to worry about Vibrations and since the gravity waves will be in space it wil be easier to pick up the Gravity waves. The problem with doing this is the cost of the station. Most of there funds right now are going towards the station underground.
